Drawing and forming oils in sheet metal work are supposed to avoid both typical process defects such as cracks, scoring, dents, etc., and increase
the tool life through reduced friction. But there are also liquids with potentially negative Impact on the environment, the health of workers and to
the profitability of the company. A particular problem in the application of these oils consists in large quantities, which must be used due to effects such as dripping, overspray or displacement due to pressure. The goal of a responsible and efficient economic management is therefore minimizing the use of these liquid
lubricants. [EfA NRW (2007)]
