This question concerns the following
The reuse of recycled paints results in savings due to lower consumption of fresh paint or varnish – less waste must be disposed. Solvent-based or water-based recycled paints or inks can be reused if they are not too diluted and contaminated with cleaning products or if they deviate from the solvent in the diluent used. Where water-based coatings, paints and colors are used, it is possible to reuse the paint and color sludge, for example by use of ultrafiltration. Where mixing waste water is collected, the recovered paint or the printing ink can be re-used as an additive for paint, or black color. If the effluent is collected separately on each unit, the different colors are reused respectively in the same color. [UBA OL (2007); S. 426 u. S. 427]
